You are the light of the world. A city on a hill cannot be hidden.

Dear Church Family,

I am excited about the unique opportunity God has provided for us through the Church on a Hill campaign. I believe the next few months are going to be a significant time in the life of our church.  During this stewardship campaign let us take some time to reflect on God’s blessings in our lives and in the life of First Baptist Plano.

In the fall of 2017 our church looked at options for the future and voted, in unity, to relocate to Mapleshade and George Bush Turnpike east of Coit Road.  This was not a decision about leaving our current location, ultimately it was not about buildings or facilities; it was about opportunities for our future. The ministry of First Baptist Plano has been strong for 165 years, and we were seeking to make decisions to ensure that it would remain strong for another 165 years.

I am thrilled about First Baptist Plano’s future. I believe we can take who we uniquely are and be a beacon, a light, with the gospel, for the sake of Plano and the surrounding areas. This will be an opportunity for us to spread the gospel and to expand our ministry.

Please review this website carefully. Through it, you will find all the details of the project and resources necessary to see it become reality.  For us as individuals and families it is our opportunity to think through, to pray through, this God-sized task. This is a time to ask, “What can I do? What are we called to do as a family?” As a church, let us come together and see what the Lord is going to do.
